- CD & DVD disc and player repairing
CD & DVD disc
Base of CD & DVD disc are same. If first photo is front (label face) and second photo is back, evrybody can not repair the scratch on front.
If your CD or DVD doesn't work for the scratch on front, please give up. But the scratch on back can be repair.
 
If your CD or DVD get a dirty and a shallow scratch, please wipe your CD or DVD toward vertical line like first photo below with soft cloth. CD or DVD is strong toward vertical dirty and scratch.
If your CD or DVD still doesn't work for scratch, please try to wipe toward vertical line with tooth paste and your finger and little bit water. Of couse, put small scratches but you can use your CD or DVD.
 
CD & DVD player
Most factor of doesn't work CD or DVD player is the dirty of lens. Wiping lens with soft cloth is effective. If your CD or DVD player still doesn't work, let turn up the laser power for reading CD or DVD. Usually, resistance for laser power is moving resistance nearest lens back. First photo is lens front, second photo is lens back and red circle is the moving resistance of laser power. Third photo is the moving resistance of my CD player.
CD and DVD combination player has 2 moving resistances. One of this resistances is for laser of CD, other one of this resistance is for laser of DVD. No problem that the wrong resistance is little bit turned. But please turn it over 45 degree. Usually, turning right is to turn up the laser power. Please adjusting this moving resistance. I have repaired Play Station 2 with this way.
